Dr Nadeem is the Consultant Psychiatrist at OIP. After training at Royal Edinburgh Hospital and obtaining the prestigious membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, London, UK, he became a Consultant Psychiatrist at St John’s Hospital, Livingston, Scotland. He then worked briefly in a similar position at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. He has wide experience in dealing with psychiatric and mental health issues. He carried out original research in the field of Schizophrenia, and worked as Honorary Lecturer in Clinical Psychiatry at the Division of Psychiatry, University of Edinburgh, and actively participated in service redesign of Psychiatric Rehabilitation services in Livingston. He has special interest in Evidence based medicine, Psychopharmacology and use of technology in healthcare services. He chaired the Mental Health Informatics Special Interest Group of the Royal College of Psychiatrists for three years. He has given lectures and conducted workshops in UK, India and Kuwait on various psychiatric topics. Dr Nadeem returned to Hyderabad in late 2010 and helped establish Oxygen Medicare Group as a Director. He then established the Oxygen Institute of Psychiatry, which has carved out a name for itself in provision of quality psychiatric and drug rehabilitation services within a short span of 18 months. He holds the cause of psycho-education (especially in the area of Drug and Alcohol addiction) close to his heart, and gives informational and educational lectures at various schools, colleges, Business Schools and IT and Govt. organisations. He contributes to various newspapers and has appeared on TV health shows.

Dr Gupta completed her MBBS from Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences in Maharashtra. After obtaining a Diploma in Addictions from US, she settled in Hyderabad and gained invaluable experience in the management of addictions and rehabilitation of addicted patients, working in major drug rehabilitation centres. At OIP, she directs the rehabilitation programme, conducts family sessions and trains staff members in the application of Minnesota model of treatment of addictions. She has appeared on the television, creating awareness on drug related issues.

Mr. Murali completed his nursing in 2011. He then completed a 6-month internship in Psychiatric nursing at Institute of Mental Health, Erragadda, Hyderabad. He obtained valuable nursing experience by working in multi specialty hospitals in ICU and High dependency settings and established himself as a committed and hardworking, passionate and enthusiastic individual before joining this institute as Staff Nurse. Here, he quickly settled down and gathered valuable experience of rehabilitation and addiction psychiatry and started managing various duties in the successful running of the De addiction Centre and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Centre with passion and dedication. He was promoted as Deputy Charge Nurse in December 2014, due to his abilities. He is a keen Yoga practitioner.

Dr Fatima Nadeem heads the Oxygen Spark – a newly established special school and Day Centre for children with mental handicap. She is a UK trained Paediatrician, and is an Associate Member of The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. She has immense and wide ranging experience in General as well as Community Paediatrics, having worked at Southern General Hospital, Glasgow; Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh and St John’s Hospital, Livingston, Scotland for a number of years. She has sat on Children’s Panel in Scotland and participated in several Children’s Reporter hearings. She ran Neuro-developmental clinics, Child Behaviour clinics and ADHD/Autistic Spectrum clinics in several schools in West Lothian, Scotland. She has actively participated and contributed to service development of community Paediatrics. Currently she sits on the management board of Azra Public School, Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad, and advises the school on behavioural, emotional and scholastic problems among school children and offers consultations with children, teachers and parents.

She developed her passion in treating patients, especially patients with disturbed behaviour. She is a multi faceted person with a wide experience of work as a Staff Nurse at St Theresa’s Hospital, Lecturer at Care College of Nursing, School Counsellor and therapist at reputed Schools and hospitals. She joined OIP in 2012 as Staff Nurse, but quickly rose to the position of Charge Nurse. She has a keen eye for detail and works with dedication. She is very understanding of patient problems and empathic towards them. Her reassuring, yet tough demeanour helps in maintaining discipline at OIP.

Miss Rekha completed her Masters in Social Work in 2014 from Telangana University, with specialization in Family & Child Welfare. Initially she worked in IIPS health project as an investigator and then worked in MARI NGO as a Community mobilizer. This gave her immense and invaluable experience of working in the community and understanding their problems at the grass root level. It was during her stint in the community that she realized the intensity of the problems related to alcohol and drug addiction. She joined Oxygen recently to contribute with her community experience and skills of working with the family.
